The One Hundred Day Creative Challenge: Day 14
Today I’m having surgery and I’m surrendering to the fact that I will have at least a month or six-weeks where I can’t control my life in the same way I usually do.
Knowing I was facing surgery actually prompted me to begin this 100 Day Challenge. If I am going to be confined to home, unable to drive for a month and forced to rest how would I cope without going crazy?
I love reading. I love writing. Both are physically passive pursuits so I plan to spend the next month reading and writing to my heart’s content.
Submitting to forced rest is a good way to put this mantra into practice.
“Today, I release the urgency of outer events. I listen to the inner rhythm of God. I set my pace by divine guidance. The world and its busy agendas do not control my soul.”
Today l am setting my pace according to circumstances, but hopefully will learn the lesson that I don’t have to be physically incapacitated before I learn to set aside the world and its busy agendas.
