Mentoring
You can trust me with your story.
You can trust me with your draft.
You can trust me with your fears about writing.
You can trust me to be honest and encouraging.
Writing can be exciting, deeply personal, and, at times, surprisingly vulnerable. Whether you’re beginning your first manuscript, refining a novel, writing memoir, preparing a submission, or simply trying to rediscover your creative voice, you don’t have to do it alone.
My role isn’t to write your story for you.
My role is to help you tell it with clarity, courage and integrity.
What You Can Expect
You don’t have to edit yourself, or your writing, before you arrive.
You don’t have to fit a particular mould.
I’ll read your story with curiosity, respect and thoughtful attention.
Together we’ll explore what your writing is already doing well and where it can become stronger. I’ll ask questions, offer constructive feedback and encourage you to discover the story only you can tell.
Every writer has a different voice, different goals and a different journey. Whether you’re writing fiction, memoir, non-fiction or simply exploring where your creativity might take you, I’ll meet you where you are.
My Commitment
I’ll always aim to create a space where you feel listened to, respected and challenged in the best possible way.
My feedback will be honest, encouraging and practical. I’ll celebrate your strengths while helping you grow in confidence and skill.
I don’t believe great writing comes from becoming someone else. It comes from becoming more fully yourself on the page.
Working Together
Mentoring is available both in person and online, depending on your location and my availability.
If you’re looking for a thoughtful conversation about your writing, your ideas or where to go next, I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s begin with your story.
